The longer story

I'll be honest, I never thought I'd find myself running my own photography business, but life has such a wonderful way of bringing new experiences and adventures to you, if you only let it. And so now, here we are!

After many years of chasing my dreams of working with new college students and building successful New Student Orientation and First Year Experience Programs I have found myself longing for something different. I have a creative mind with an educator heart and a curiosity that fuels my lifelong learner mindset. So, I ask myself what I have asked COUNTLESS students, "what do you want to be when you grow up"?

A few years ago, my now husband, offered me the use of his camera to capture some photos of my daughter in her dance costumes. The world was shut down and for the first time in many years, her dance costumes would not have their moment

spotlighted on stage during her annual recital. So I suggested we do something different with them and we headed out over the course of several days to different locations for photoshoots in each one. I had ZERO idea of what I was doing, but I LOVED It. She LOVED it! And the photos we captured those days will be treasured for years to come.

I loved so much of that first photographer experience and I couldn't wait to find my next opportunity to shoot. I began taking classes in Columbus State's nationally recognized photography program and over the last two years, I have advanced my knowledge and portfolio. My kids have graciously been my muse, but they are so ready to let someone else step into the spotlight of my camera. And I'm ready too!
